My journey into the healing arts began at the age of seventeen. I guess you could say it was my calling.
Eventually, this led me to enroll in Irene's Myomassology Institute (IMI) where I gained a solid foundation in the intellectual, kinesthetic, emotional, and spiritual understanding of healing. I spent a rigorous year -- 625 hours -- at IMI and I emerged with a tremendous appreciation for and mastery of the various disciplines required to properly help others find healing.
As I studied and practiced different modalities/techniques, my skill with the healing arts caught the attention of other successful teachers and healers. For example, a Reiki Master Practitioner selected me to receive the first two of my attunements to Reiki because of my personal integrity and commitment to the program. (An attunement allows someone to be open enough to receive the universal life force know as Reiki). Only a handful of students every couple of years are selected to receive attunements, so this was a high honor for me, and it spoke to the genuineness of my calling.
Shortly after graduating from IMI, I began working with Sue Burton-Hidalgo (listed in Llewellyn Publishing’s The Complete Book of Psychic Arts and Bantam Books’ The 100 Top Psychics in America) to obtain my third and Master attunements, which allow one to further open themselves up to Reiki and to teach this form of healing to others. Around this time, I began to explore my own techniques and develop my own personal style as an intuitive healer.
Today, I am enrolled in the three-year program in the Foundation for Shamanic Studies (FSS) developed by Michael Harner. I hold the distinction of being the youngest FSS student in the world.
My enthusiasm, willingness to continually learn, and gift for healing have -- over the years -- provided me with opportunity to work with many enlightened individuals.
